Letter Sizes

Different sized letters can be cut into the timber. Making a legible letter, outdoor bush or park sign is critical. Our team can design the perfect cut out timber sign like those used in National Parks. The letter style is Helvetica Rounded Medium or Light.

Our standard templates are 180mm, 150mm, 120mm, 90mm, 60mm and 40mm. These sizes match all Australian Standards for Signs Timber & Public Display.

Other sizes, for custom work, CNC and Laser are available. You can also send in a computer file ready to use.

Many authorities may have their own requirements for wooden cut out, custom colors, fonts, sizes, indents, top and bottom margins etc, they can supply a copy of their signage manual for explanation and creation by our company.

You can also mix letter sizes on seperate rows. Eg. Top row 90 mm then second row 40 mm. The timber most used is lsop treated finger jointed tru-pine for painted boards and if the board is to be natural selections such as spotted gum, redgum, cypress, jarrah etc may be used.

Cut out wooden timber signs using light solvent organic protective lsop also is better for environment. Making a panel design you should also consider the free space on the left and right side of the timber for fitting to posts using bolts or decking screws.
